The Restaurant
We opened our doors July 4th weekend in 1992. The restaurant was purchased by Gina and Chuck Whitney from Tom Brandel of Tom's Oyster Bar. It is very similar to the menu and decor of all the Tom's Oyster Bars downstate.
In the spring of 1997 we built "Topside". It was a labor of love because we had always wanted a deck of outdoor dining. It is during the busy summer season that we need the added space that "Topside" provided. This allowed us the flexibility of closing down in the winter months when the space is not needed allowing our customers to have a cozier dining experience when the snow is flying.
Receptions from Simple to Elegant!
Our specialty is designing parties to fit everyone's individual needs. We cater party sizes from twelve to two hundred, indoors or out, simple or extravagant, at our place or yours. In the menu, you will find that our unique approach to pricing is to give each element a specific cost instead of bundling things together in complicated packages. This gives you the flexibility to pick and choose exactly the foods and services you need and want. After you have done this, our catering manager will work with you for a final quotation. Our mission is to exceed your expectations while staying within your budget.

A Great Dining Spot
Whitneys has become a much sought after dining spot for young and slightly older alike. We have made great strides to assure our customers have a great experience so that they return again and again.
For your convenience, there is an elevator in the back to gain access to our non-smoking second floor where the restrooms are located, and the third floor open air deck, perfect for enjoying cocktails and cold appetizers.
