WELCOME TO THE BLUE PELICAN

Chris and Merrie missed the seafood cuisine of the East Coast and decided to bring a taste of it to Central Lake. The Blue Pelican was the former Chatter Box at the corner of West Old State Road and East Torch Lake Drive – just down the street from Old Brownwood Restaurant. The newly renovated restaurant brings the beach and coastal seafood to Northern Michigan.

About 18,000 years ago, when the last glaciers invaded this area from the north, creatures of every type were living here and enjoying life in beautiful Northern Michigan. However , as the extreme cold persisted and dropped the thermometer well below the zero degree temperature level, a multitude of the creatures either migrated south (quite possibly to the Florida area) or actually became extinct. A very small, yet hardy, group remained able to withstand the cold of Michigan winters and refused to leave their homes, friends and families.

Shows will run every third Thursday of the month all year long.

Chris and Merrie are pleased to announce the resurrection of Brothers Restaurant in Central Lake. Much time and effort was spent to give the diner a fresh look and exciting menu, and it was well worth it! Pop on in for breakfast or lunch, or just a cup of one of their delicious coffees or cappuccino. They have the old standby regular and decaf, along with a variety of flavored hot beverages.
